IPR 2 Series Amplifiers:
These incredible amps are 7 years Product Development in the making. Not only are the IPR2 series the lightest per watt, but the best sounding amplifiers in their class and then some. The IPR2 has beaten amps 6-10 times their price range in head to head listening test time and time again. This new technology allows the amp to perform at maximum gain and still not get hot, let alone overload. Don’t get these amps because they are light, get them because they sound great, don’t get hot and work all day even down to 2 ohms – unlike the competition. Also know that the IPR2 power ratings are stated at .01% distortion where others give rating at 5X the distortion level, giving you an unrealistic rating! Do the math, the IPR2 series is unparalleled in sound, power, performance and reliability – period!

Just got one of these the other day, and the Thanksgiving holiday gave me the free time to try it out. I was really skeptical about these amps, but after using it have nothing but good things to say about it. It's unbelievable light, but sounds great. You can pretty much see through the entire amp because all sides are full of perforations for air flow, which seem to keep it cool even without the heavy heat sink. I'm using this to power a pair of Electro Voice ELX 215 loud speakers. Before using this I had an Electro Voice Q99 amp hooked to them which was a little small, but I thought it sounded good, up till I got this. This amp truly gave me the headroom needed to hear how awesome these EV speakers sound. I almost went with the EV Q1212 amp because I've had suck great luck with the Q99 but I'm happy Tom recommended this cheaper Peavey amp as it's gotta be just as good, but cheaper. The channel mode switch on back is a nice feature if wanting to hook this up to a sub and only get the base out of it or something similar. I can't really fid anything about this amp I don't like. Being able to use it in a bridged mode would have been nice, but for the price I'd just buy the next size up and have an extra channel for later expanding.
