The StarkBar universal LED bar was engineered and designed in Germany to UL and CE certification specs.
These can be controlled through standard DMX-512, the included IR remote control, or programmed directly on the unit to stand-alone, sound active, or auto program modes. The integrated RGBAW+UV LEDs offer advanced color mixing, as well as all the standard colors, pure white (6500K), amber (gold tone), and ultraviolet (black light).
Stark Bar: In German, "stark" means "strong." At 324 Watts, this bar is one of the strongest, most powerful wash lights on the market.

Purchased the ape light maxi tour pack and love them. It came with a remote, but like anything else in this business, a back up is always necessary. The folks at Ape Labs even include another slot for a second remote in the charging case, thus, I think having a second remote is a no brainer. For 60 bucks, it's great peace of mind knowing if the other fails (it is technology which is never fail proof) or if you just forget it or lose it (darn kids), you are still able to control them no matter what. Pick up a second remote and sleep easy knowing you're completely covered. As usual, KPODJ rocked it with price and delivery. Had it quicker than I had anticipated, but at this point if the price and service weren't the best from these guys, I would be surprised.
this was a gift for my brother received it on time and was packaged well. Lights worked great used it with a power pack and used it for uplight for his new truss light was very bright and easy to control with the remote.
A must have for ape lights, very responsive and long range!
The ApeRemote is great and easy to use. It's the size of a credit card and the buttons have good feedback. Having RF over IR is invaluable for a medium venue. If you have a large venue, it's worth purchasing the WAPP. I'd love to get more groups, but that's a different issue. Much easier to use than programming DMX (and I enjoy DMX programming).
Must have for ape labs products. I have the connect/app and I still use this for ease sometimes.
Long Range, and you dont even have to point them at the lights
This remote is like having a dmx controller that's the size of a credit card. It has a very long range and being that it uses RF (Radio Frequncy) to communicate with the lights, there is no need to point at the fixtures to controller them and the remotes allows you to establish groups. In my case I have 8 sticks XL 2.0. I can make up to four groups, 2 lights in group 1, 2 in group 2, 2 in group 3 and so on. Control what you want each group to do or, activate all 4 groups and the lights do what ever setting you choose. Music Mode, control the speed, colors, brightness and all functions are in this small credit card size remote. I recommend that you read the enclosed starters guide that comes with the remote. There is a lot of detail that you should review. It's a lot of reading but once you go through each step, it will all make sense. I recommend you carry extra batteries. All in all this remote is very intuitive and it really allows you to have full control with the push of a few buttons. Once you have programmed your groups, the remote will save these groups when you shut down. At next start up, they will be assigned as you left them. But, in all likely hood you will probably need to re-assign groups as not all venues are the same and you'll have to set your lights as you see fit. Thanks to KPODJ for setting up with a great bundle package!
Great light and output bang for your buck. Solid construction and intuitive large lcd menu in rear. Used them live this week and they performed well. The only issue was when I was running them (through DMX), and I pressed buttons on the remote, I had a hard time getting them back responding the DMX software control.
I keep these in my trussing. I DMX my main light show, but keep the truss warmers on a static color, so the IR remote really comes in handy! With the IR remote, it saves me from having the run DMX to each truss warmer. Cut a good amount of time off of my set up time. When I do small events without my main light show, I use these as wash lights and they are very bright for their size. Of course, not as bright as the UberPar or StarkBars that I have....but it's very cool that they all master/salve together, when I'm not doing DMX.
These things are totally solid. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped them or left them out in crazy weather. I also love that they master-slave with my StarkBars that I own. Killer design!!
These are awesome lights. I've had these set up outside my house running dusk-dawn, 7 days a week, 365. They've been buried in several feet of snow, been thru hurricanes, etc. Still run perfectly. Super bright and vibrant! Very easy to use.
HMNGO ECXKE: Hi Mitch,

This is actually a feature on the light to allow you to switch lights to IR mode without having to unplug them from DMX. To switch to IR mode, press any button on the remote. To switch back to DMX mode, press the "DMX" button on the remote in the top row, middle column.
